Is there an easy way to test the switch on my 99 Deville power window. The
driver side window powered down and now won't go up. All the other windows
work fine. I figured out which wire is suppose to be hot when the switch is
on... but it doesn't get any voltage to it when the switch is pushed.

On my Coupe Deville the switches are the controllers for the reversible
grounds at the motors.

I had a similar problem: pass window door switch worked fine, but the
Master Switch Assembly (drivers door)failed to control that window. I
attemped to clean/adjust but ended up replacing the MSA. Not too
difficult a job and the MSA was not expensive.

I'd pull the MSA and momentarily jumper a wire to the offending side of
that windows' rocker-switch until the window closed.
If you have a VOM check for continuity in the switch beforehand.
