Noticed that the radio would not turn off when you get out of the car and
it killed the battery. Charged the battery took the car to a Caddy
dealership. They charged us $340.00 and said that the radio was the
problem and removed it from the car. Brought the car home, the radio is
still not in the car and the next day the battery is dead again. Recharged
the battery, pulled the fuse for the amp, car starts the next day.
Reinstalled the radio, but when the radio is turned on, it still does not
turn off when the door is opened even with the fuse removed for the amp.
You can turn the radio on without putting the key into the ignition. The
interior lights of the car are also not coming on when the doors are opened
sometimes. At other times when you open the doors the interior lights do
come on. When the interior lights will not come on, if you use the remote
to unlock the doors, the headlights will not come on either. The
headlights do come on when you use the remote control when the interior
lights are working. Seems like many things are going on here. Any
suggestions?

exorcism?

seriously, i had (have) a similar problem with my '94 concours. my
mechanic found two shorts, one in the lumbar support switch and the
other with automatic trunk motor. it is time-consuming and can be
expensive depending on hourly rate (cost me just under $100.00 for the
diagnosis and quick fix [disabling both], money well-spent considering
the alternative).

Is tbhe radio wired to factory specs. Is it a delco or a aftermarket.
On the lights you said "remote so I'm assuming you have a alarm. It
might be that when they wired a alarm to your car the wired the
lighting up wrong .
