Help!

I was offered a 2000 Deville with 169k miles for $4,000. I have drive
it extensively over two days and it very tight, quiet and smooth. Th
interior/exterior is perfect but I cant get over the super high miles.
Apparently it used to belong to a fleet.

Should I buy it

If it's clean and no bumps, chipped paint, good glass, no oil puddles and
all is working, why not?

It is common that the Northstar engine will require a quart of oil about
every 2000 miles. Cadillac recommends 5W-40; it's on the oil cap. You
might look here for any recalls. http://auto-recalls.justia.com/

I have a 2001 Deville DHS which the oil consumption was told to me by the
dealer on the day I bought it and it happens.

Is the seller providing you with any maintenance records? You may want to
think about potential big ticket items that may need to be addressed soon -
like struts!
