I have a 1995 Cadillac Sedan Deville that is in fantastic shape. A few weeks
ago the message "Stop Engine -- Low Oil Pressure" shows up on the display
when at a dead stop, but disappears and stays off once the car is in motion.
I replaced the sensor but the light still comes on. I think that the
computer may need to be reset? Any thoughts? Thanks!

The correct way to procede is to enter the onboard diagnostic system,
read the E & F codes and then clear those codes. Your car has the OBD 1
system. E codes are engine/powertrain related problems. F codes are
'body' related problems. Do a Search for OBD1 to learn how to use the
system and to read/clear the codes....it's not difficult, just follow
the steps.

Resetting the computer system by unhooking the power supply(battery) is
a bad idea, for a number of reasons.

Hope this helps.......
