how to recharge ac - 93 deville

93 Coupe DeVille with Auto climate control. How do I force the
compressor to run so I can recharge the AC? The check AC light is on and
the system defaults to econ mode.

light is on and the system defaults to
econ mode.

When the ECC switches to ECON, the system has detected a low refrigerant
charge and won't enable the compressor. Clear the diagostic trouble
codes and then select AUTO, with the charge hoses/refrigerant hooked up,
the system will draw in the charge.
