I do not have an owners manual.

I only have 31,000 miles but suspect I should change the coolant. Am I
correct???

If yes, how much coolant does it take and is this something I could do
myself.

Anything special to be concerned with.

Cooling system maintenance, or lack thereof, is a main cause of engine
failure. You should get an Owners Manual, or better yet, a Service
Manual. Both are available from HelmInc dot com
The system should be flushed and coolant added to at least a 50% mixture
and cooling system sealant tabs might be required for your system too.
Antifreeze doesn't 'wear out'. The corrosion inhibitors in the
antifreeze become less effective over time.
